If I could go back to one place to spend more time there, I think this would be it. There is something magical, dreamlike about the scenery here.
We did try to hire a car to explore the area but this was not possible – we even hired one online and took a futile trip to Calama to pick it up, only to find there were no cars. So, after some careful research by my Australian traveller friends, we booked to go on a day trip around the lagoons.
